You would still use the mouth snorkel piece and attach it to the side strap of the goggles. It just seems less cumbersome than the mask. Has anyone tried this? Thanks for any tips! Can you snorkel, using swim goggles and a nose clip, instead of a snorkel mask?
While you could do it, I doubt it'd be any better than just using a mask. Depending how deep you free dive, the water pressure could press the goggles tighter around your eyes than wearing a mask would, plus as previously mentioned, your field of vision wouldn't be as good. The thin straps on a goggle isn't really designed to hold anything, strapping a snorkel to it may twist the strap enough to break the waterproof seal around your eyes and if the water gets in, clearing it underwater would be impossible. You'd probably be limited to just using a rigid snorkel and staying on the surface if you really want goggles. Can you snorkel, using swim goggles and a nose clip, instead of a snorkel mask?
Yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. The swim goggles limit your vision. A snorkel mask gives you a much clearer view of your surroundings and is easier to clear water out of and de-fog without having to remove it.
sure but you ll get water in ur nose and u wont have a really good field of vision but its good to do if ur just swimming in the pool
No because a snorkel helps you breath under water and a nose clip can't!
Yes, you technically can. But it will greatly limit your visibility. A decent mask shouldn't cost too much. Check WalMart or Target.
