If you know for a fact it wasn't a racoon, it must have been a lemur excet that you didn't mention whether or not it was a ringed tail. Lemurs are known for their ringed tails. Here are a few links to lemur photos. Was this the animal you saw? There is a Lemur Conservation Reserve in Florida, but I doubt one escaped.

There are also plenty of monkeys with masked faces, but most are quite small and not native to Florida.
There are feral monkeys in Florida.
