Does albuterol work inhaled through the nose? My 7 mo. old son keeps his mouth closed while wearing the mask.?

The nebuliser will convert the salbutamol solution into a fine mist to be breathe into the lungs.. If the nebuliser is with a mask, it is fine to use the nose to breathe in the mist (medication) unless the nebuliser is with a mouth piece. Usually young children will get their asthma medication through nebuliser with mask as it is easier and they will not kick up a fuss..Does albuterol work inhaled through the nose? My 7 mo. old son keeps his mouth closed while wearing the mask.?
i would think so.. of course i take my by mouth but i would think as long as its getting in his lungs it would be ok.. you might want to call his dr soon as you can to be sure. good luckDoes albuterol work inhaled through the nose? My 7 mo. old son keeps his mouth closed while wearing the mask.?
Yes, the child is still getting the medicine through his nose. That's why they use a mask for children. The children don't know how to use a mouth inhaler properly. He'll be okay.

I've been using inhalers for about 7 yrs. I have asthma.

Blessings to you %26amp; baby!
If it the one you put in a neubelizer (sp), yes it's ok. When my son was 1 month old in the hospital, that's how they did it.
