Yes. And no, not that bad. You need one that fits properly. And you need to make SURE you get the CPAP with the humidifier attachment. It will save you many problems and discomfort down the road. I've lost a lot of weight and may not even need it any more, but I haven't got my courage up to try it yet. I would want my wife to stay awake and make sure I am breathing okay before I let it go. I don't even nap without it. Main thing, get a good fit, and keep it clean, make sure you get the humidifier. You won't believe how much better life with a real night's sleep is.Anybody have sleep apthnea? Is it hard to sleep with a mask over your nose ?
it don't bother me. i have done it a yr now.. i love my machine.. i wont even nap without mine.. it only took me about a week to get use to it. i did have to change the time setting on it so that it didn't give me the big amount of air for 30 mins or so.. that way gave me time to adjust and get to sleep.. good luckAnybody have sleep apthnea? Is it hard to sleep with a mask over your nose ?
yes I have it but I don't have the mask I have the one where it just goes in your nasal passages I like it better than the mask.
Both my mom and sister have this. They were both given a C-Pap machine, or the mask, that you have to wear. My mom said that it took a little getting used to, but she loves the results. She doesn't have as many headaches and her energy level has increased. She also doesn't get sleepy during the day, and has an easier time getting up in the morning. If her mask feels to ';smothery';, she turns the volume up where it will blow more air. My sister, on the other hand, despises hers. She said that it is uncomfortable and feels like your chained to the machine. To each is own, I guess.
