The nose and mouth are heavily colonised by bacteria. Most of these are harmless, in the mouth. Some can cause very severe infections, if they get into surgical wounds.
To reduce the risk of them leaving the doctor's mouth, and getting into the wound, the Dr wears a mask.
They get out via ';aerosols';; these are made, every time the Dr opens his / her mouth, or speaks. Masks catch these fine droplets of fluid.
because of the smell and the bacteria that may affect the doctor released from the open part of our body
Because many of of them have a 'slack jaw'
1. so youre stuff doesnt get all in their mouths
2. so they dont breathe, get their stuff on you to cause some infection
